Methodological update in an autopsy room

The involvement of the Higher Pathology Technician in performing autopsies has an unequal development in our country, both in the Pathology Departments and in the Forensic Pathology Departments, despite being the only technical staff trained to carry out autopsies. assist specialized doctors.

With this course we intend to change this drift, reducing fears and expanding the knowledge acquired during your training, so that you can help in the tasks for which you are qualified, in the autopsy room, and even more so in the current circumstances, that autopsies have revealed as the tool of great diagnostic value that it is.

We intend to reinforce basic concepts in terms of approaches and techniques, as well as review and update all aspects of good practice that affect workers in an autopsy room, with special emphasis on high-risk autopsies caused by agents such as the causing the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.

Therefore, we hope that this course allows you to reinforce the training of the TEAPs, expanding your work horizon beyond the Pathological Anatomy Laboratories, such as the Institutes of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences, funeral homes, and research laboratories or Units of Veterinary Pathological Anatomy.
